Un petit tour à Playtime {Paris}

lovely dolls by Scalaë and Co (France)

I managed to be in France - and in Paris, on time for the international kids trade show Playtime which takes place twice a year at the Parc Floral near Château de Vincennes. I am always attending the Tokyo editions although I love the Paris one for its amazing variety and fabulous atmosphere. Here below are only a few snaps that I managed to take the day I spent there - you must plan 2 to 3 days at least to cover the whole event.

There was a lot more to share and I have listed a few brands that caught my eyes at the end of this post - with links to their websites. Feel free to check them out!

The large crocheted shawl was spectacular and beautiful- it was located in the maternity section of the show, and the creation of French artist Aurélie Mathigot.

I was surprised to cross path with a beautiful peacock on my way to the next pavillon... after all the public park was right across the blue gate in the background...

The show partly takes place in an old building which is super spacious but unfortunately without air conditioning... quite hard to take under the super hot temperatures we are having this year in France!

"Within this play of shadows and slow movements, artist Julie Gauthron's silhouettes take us off into a sweet moment of daydreaming."
I liked the idea of using the metal thread to create the playful silhouettes, however it was really difficult to photograph... maybe the white screen in the back could have been of a different color?

  • Trend Space #3 - Let's dance! by Zoe Adlesberg

No one resist the dance floor call and a disco ball! Photographer and film director Zoe Adlesberg's work has been featured in MILK, Marie Claire Enfnats, Cookie, Nylon or Kid-In magazine among other media.

beautiful embroideries and pop colours
for the S/S 2016 collection of Bonheur du Jour Paris (above and below)

My favorite trend space, the most inspiring with its wonderful display made of paper and cardboard. Exotic colours coming straight out of a travel journal spoke volumes to me!

The S/S 2016 collection of Paade Mode (Latvia) was superb!
From the choice of materials to the embroidery details or the color palette,
everything looked "delicious".

Below are some pics of one of the canteens/ café where exhibitors and visitors can meet up, rest, or recharge. Friendly staff and an extended choice of delicious/ healthy food.
