How have you been? I am hopping from visiting a fair to attending an event, from an event to a party, from a party to a lunch-meeting, and I want to share it all with you! It's hard to keep up with the blog right now: so much to share, so little time...
Today I am happy to show you the photos of the capsule collection I created and realised for Sophie et Chocolat, for their exhibition in Daikanyama. I have divided my photographs in two posts, starting with the 'oui ou non' line including earrings, brooches & necklaces. I made the embroidery on leather, using tiny sequins already on a thread (3mm diameter, the smallest size and hard to find!). The back is made of felt (earrings) or leather (necklaces and brooches). Each piece is of course unique, reflecting handwritten words in French: oui (yes), non (no), Paris, Je t'aime (I love you), J'aime Paris (I love Paris)...
on my desk - in France...
first sample on light pink felt...
final pieces, embroidery on leather with gold, silver, black and red sequins...
cute little brooch...
realising the embroidery first before deciding on the final shape of the necklace
the chain is sewn together with the two pieces of leather
I really like the idea of using my paper cake as a display for each piece
The pieces on display at the Gallery Speak For in Daikanyama. The matching pouches/ cushions were created by Sophie et Chocolat, aren't they super cute?
