aosan, a stylish boulangerie {Tokyo}

In the neighbourhood of gallery/cafe niwa-coya [see my previous post here] is a very popular bakery called aosan. So popular that people are queuing in front of the shop before its opening time and that their bread get sold out by 3pm! The selection of bread is fairly limited and there are no croissant, pain au chocolat or Danish pastries here. I purchased some bread (1/4 loaf at 280yen) and it was good, I can only wish I had tried their scones (sold out) or some of the other products still available when I visited (such as the baguette)... I will have to go back!

The highlight of this post - more than the food itself, is really the interior design of the shop. I loved the contrast of the raw finitions of the walls with the shiny gold bread clips (photo above) and their choice of lightings. Add some (vintage?) wooden furnitures, industrial details and a green floor and you are in for a visual treat!
