Favorite Shop: George's in {Musashi Kosugi - Tokyo}

Today I want to introduce you a new favorite shop of mine that I discovered last June shortly before leaving for the summer break. George's is located in Musashi-Kosugi, a train station in the western suburb of Tokyo only 12 to 20 minutes away from Shibuya - depending whether you catch the limited express or local train /Tokyo Minatomirai line.

George's has everything from toys, gadgets, home decoration goods to clothes and accessories. I particularly likes their selection of boxes and baskets, textiles and Japanese knick-knacks and in addition to their great selection of goods, I also enjoy their reasonable prices and good customer service.

We are thinking to get some wooden boxes - the ones above with the letters - to organize our kitchen cupboards more efficiently. If I would be living in France, I'd replace them by the beautiful wine bottles   wooden cases... my mum has a whole collection at home *envy*...

I can get a little bit crazy when it comes to baskets of all sizes, colors and shapes. I could start a collection tomorrow if I didn't stop myself. George's has a great selection of them, and I am currently lurking at the colorful ones above, I had never seen anything like this before. While talking baskets, I have to mentioned that IKEA has many new ones in store this season - I've got to plan a trip there soon to organize the kids' cupboards & toys...

See the top shelf above? I'd pick the vintage-looking boxes on the left and the toys cars together with some masking tapes (bottom).

How beautiful are these plates? I am still collecting Japanese dinnerware in blue & white, so I might add them to my collection pretty soon...

As far as I know you won't find any George's shop in central Tokyo, they only seem to be located in the suburbs. Musashi-Kosugi is convenient for me as it's only 5 mins away by train from where I live, and it's also the place where we catch the Narita Express train to the airport. The shop is located in the mall recently built above the train station, super convenient and easy access!

Happy week folks!
