A Horse Birthday Party {Event Planning}

Today is the day!

The third issue of tiny & little has launched this morning {Special food issue this month} and I am so excited because a party I have styled at the beginning of the month is featured {remember my posts here and here}!

It was my first project and I have enjoyed the experience so much that I plan to take on many more projects. But this will be for another post... enjoy some more pics here below, and check out the full article and story on tiny & little here!

The theme of the party was the horse as it's the favorite animal of Matteo {the birthday boy}.
Color scheme: blue, red and white.
Key words: farm fun, homemade healthy food, country style and HANDMADE {which I like}.

It's so much fun to work on a party that is not already stereotyped. I loved that Matteo picked up the horse rather than Bob the Builder or Winnie the Pooh {no offense here}.

I MUST add that the wonderful paper goods were specially designed for this party by my dear friend Anna of  blog Around My Table. Anna has since then opened her very own Etsy shop selling party sets. She can also custom design one for you, so don't hesitate to contact her and ask for a quotation.
Make sure you check her shop {here} and add her to your circle!

* And by the way Anna is giving away the set of cupcake toppers {FREE printable}{which could work well for a 4th of July party} on tiny & little! make sure you download it today :)

Now I know you wonder about the horse plushies... it was the goodie bags, and yes we made them ourselves! The mom of the birthday boy had found a pattern online {by Melly & Me} and we worked very hard {I machine sewed everything and she hand sewn the eyes, ears & saddles} to make the 15 plushies. A true labor of LOVE!

Last but not least the sweet birthday cake was decorated by a very talented friend of the birthday boy's mom... Isn't it adorable? We thought it would be a bit weird to apply the party colors scheme {blue, red, white} on the cake, so we kept it "natural" looking.

It would be fun to hear your thoughts on the above party styling... Have you ever worked with a party stylist or an event planner? Are you tempted for your next birthday party and if so, why?
